As COVID-19 cases continue to rise I want to make sure you're aware of health insurance options that are available to you and your family.
Open enrollment for healthcare plans through the ACA Marketplace ends next Tuesday, Dec. 15. After that you'll need to have a qualifying event to be able to enroll. To enroll in an ACA Health Insurance Plan visit Get Covered Illinois. If you need assistance with your application you can find help near you through this tool.
I'm happy to announce that on Dec. 1 Illinois became the first state to offer health coverage to immigrant seniors through the Health Benefits for Immigrant Seniors Program! Eligible individuals include undocumented seniors and those who have had their green card for less than five years. Seniors can apply for health coverage here and reach out to any of the following community agencies for assistance with their application.
