Are you Looking for Support with your Illinois License?
Dear Neighbor,
Throughout this year, our office has assisted many of you in navigating delays and getting status updates on license applications with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
I wanted to use this newsletter to outline a handful of recent changes for licensing support.
In June, IDFPR launched its pilot program enabling select professionals who submit paper applications to submit their payments online via IDFPR’s website. This allowed for easier and faster payment choices for select applicants.
Later on in the summer, this program was expanded to include a total of 21 paper applications as well as 20 professional licenses for individuals seeking to restore or reinstate their licenses. You can find out more about which professions are part of this program here.
IDFPR also launched a new process for active-duty service members and their spouses to apply for licenses with reduced requirements. Eligibility includes:
Active-duty orders to be stationed in Illinois
Active license in their profession from another state
Lawfully worked within the last two years in that profession
In August, IDFPR made the following applications available online:
Licensed Social Workers
Licensed Clinical Social Workers
Licensed Professional Counselors
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
More updates are on the way, as IDFPR has announced plans to modernize its professional licensing system with an online system to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of professional licensing in Illinois.
In the meantime, my office is here to help! If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at (773) 853-2570 or will@repguzzardi.com.
All my best,
Will

Monthly Health Clinic
Chicago Street Medicine and Alderman Daniel La Spata are hosting Free Health Clinics every month at Jose de Diego Elementary School, 1313 N Claremont Ave.
This is a walk-in clinic, with no appointments required and is open to both adults and children regardless of immigration or insurance status. There is no requirement to be a CPS family to access care, and if further care is needed, the medical team can direct folks to an affordable care option. Spanish language translation is also available on site by the medical team.
The clinic is typically held the 4th Sunday of the month, with the exception of November and December as the clinic will be on the 2nd Sundays of those months due to the holidays. The October date is on October 27 from 10am to 12:30pm.
