On Saturday, we had a wonderful time at Koz Park for our Fall Family Health Fair!
Thanks to the help of sponsors and volunteers, we distributed COVID tests, fresh fruit, masks, and hand sanitizer to over 100 neighbors. We are incredibly grateful to the health care organizations and partners who provided free health services like blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks, and dental exams, and administered vaccines. And it was great to see families and neighbors connecting with over 30 community organizations.

Office Closure Notice
This week, our office will be closed on Wednesday, November 8 as staff will be in Springfield and on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day. Northwest Center Utilities Town Hall
Join Northwest Center and Illinois PIRG for an information session and Q&A on Thursday, November 9 to learn what you and the city of Chicago can do to save money on utilities and fight climate change through the option of switching to all-electric energy. The town hall will be at Northwest Community Church, 5318 W Diversey Ave. at 7pm. There will be Spanish translation and child care.
CPS Job Fair
The Chicago Public Schools Talent Office hosts community job fairs throughout the city at various locations on the second Thursday of every month. On Thursday, November 9, the CPS Paraprofessional Fair will be from 10am - 1pm at Garfield Park Gymnasium, 2651 W Washington Blvd. You can apply for positions with CPS at www.cps.edu/careers.
