Palenque LSNA Día de Los Muertos Community Event
Join PLSNA and community members at a Día de Muertos Community Event on Thursday, November 2, from 4:30-7:30pm at Kelvyn Park Junior & Senior High School, 4343 W. Wrightwood Ave. There will be a free movie in the parking lot, a live mariachi, face painting, a photobooth, and food trucks!
LIHEAP Utility Bill Assistance
As colder weather looms, it is vitally important that we ensure all members of our community have access to safe and reliable heating. DCEO is currently accepting applications for their Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which helps cover utility costs for natural gas, propane, and electricity for income-eligible households. Priority will be given to applications for households with seniors, young children, or individuals with long-term disabilities. Eligibility requirements and applications can be found at HelpIllinoisFamilies.com.
Health Care Coverage Enrollment
If you are over 65 and believe you may qualify for health coverage regardless of your immigration status, be sure to apply at www.abe.illinois.gov. Enrollment will close next Monday, on November 6.
