Let's grab a coffee! ☕
There's a lot to discuss in light of recent events in our city, state and country. This Saturday, March 4th, I'm hosting my first Coffee and Conversation of the year at The Map Room in Bucktown, which is a welcome new addition to the 39th District!
Join me for a coffee where you can ask questions about bills that passed during the spring legislative session, share your policy position on different issues, and chat about what's happening in our community.
You can RSVP by clicking the button below or by calling our office at (773) 853-2570.
If you have questions about this event, about bills I'm sponsoring in Springfield, or have any ideas for future legislation I should consider, please write back and let me know.
Otherwise, I hope to see you this Saturday — Coffee is on me!
All the best,
Representative Will Guzzardi,
39th District
LOCAL FOOD RESOURCES
If you or someone you know is food insecure, I want to share a few food resources here in our community. You can click on this link for a map that lists food pantries around our district. And you can click here to check out the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) for information on additional resources across the city.
If you’re looking for ways to help our community during this time I encourage you to reach out to your local food pantry to volunteer, donate to GCFD, or connect with one of our local Mutual Aid groups such as the Northwest Side Solidarity Network, Hermosa Mutual Aid, or Logan Square Mutual Aid.

SUPPORT FREELANCE WORKERS IN ILLINOIS
Freelance workers, just like all workers, are entitled to fair payment and protections for their work. While freelancers are essential to the modern workforce, making up 39% of the total workforce, they lack some of the most basic protections other workers take for granted — the right to a written contract, the right to negotiate free from retaliation, and the right to be paid for their work on time.
