The End of Autumn in the 39th District 🍂❄️

Dear Neighbor,

With the change of seasons and winter setting in, I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and high spirits. I’m using this week to reflect on where my office has been throughout the 39th District this autumn.

Our office held our annual Fall Family Health Fair with the Koz Park Advisory Council, where we distributed COVID tests, fresh fruit, masks, and hand sanitizer to over 100 neighbors and provided free health services like blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks, and dental exams, and administered vaccines.

We collaborated with the offices of several Northwest Side elected officials. We co-hosted a Public Safety Town Hall with offices at the city and state levels, local police leaders, and violence prevention organizations. We held mobile constituent hours with Congresswoman Delia Ramirez, helped out at a Property Tax Appeals Workshop with Cook County Commissioner Anthony Quezada and Alderman Carlos Rosa, and joined Representative Jamie Andrade’s Free Paper Shredding and Recycling Event

Our office also had wonderful times at fall and Halloween events like the 30th Ward’s Trunk-or-Treat with Alderwoman Ruth Cruz’s office, Unity Park’s Pumpkin Fest, and the 1st Ward’s Thanksgiving Resource Fair and Turkey Giveaway with Alderman LaSpata’s team.

We celebrated Avondale Neighborhood Association and CMAP’s release of the Avondale Neighborhood Plan, attended the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Town Hall, rallied for healthcare expansion, and enjoyed site tours of nonprofits across Belmont Cragin.

And then of course, I headed to Springfield for veto session. You can take a look here to read updates from the close of this year’s legislative session.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible season. Please note that our office's Winter Clothing Drive is ongoing until Tuesday, December 19, and be sure to stay tuned for updates on other community events throughout the winter.

All my best,

Will
