Check Out Your New 39th District Map! 🗺️

Today I’m writing to share some exciting news with you — we have a new 39th district map! You may remember my writing last year about the legislative mapping process, which uses data from the U.S. Census. Every ten years, we have a constitutional duty to reassess and redraw our state legislative maps in order to ensure that our legislative districts accurately represent our state population and provide for diverse representation.

As a result of this remapping process, our district (the 39th) was redrawn to include new parts of our city. Click the image below to see an interactive map that outlines how our district map changed (the old district boundaries are outlined in black, the new boundaries in orange).

I’m also happy to share an interactive asset map that you can explore, thanks to the work of our new office intern, Jorge Martinez! Click the map below to explore

With this new map comes new neighbors, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and parks for my office to partner with, support, and celebrate. I look forward to meeting with new constituents and working to build new, meaningful, and long-lasting partnerships this year. And if you’re a constituent, business owner, or nonprofit leader that’s new to the district, I welcome you to reach out anytime by contacting my office using the contact information listed at the end of this newsletter.

As always, if you have questions about what's happening in Springfield, or suggestions for policy areas for me to focus on this year, please don't hesitate to send me a note using our legislative feedback form. I always appreciate hearing your feedback.

Thank you for reading and being part of this community!

Be well —

Will
